Our school represents the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. She believed that education begins at birth and that the first years, being the most formative, are the most important. Children have natural tendencies to explore and learn from the world around them.

Ghent Montessori School offers programs for children 2 to 14 years old. We encourage children to have at least three years in our school. This allows the child to take full advantage of our program and to work in all curriculum areas. The three-year cycle and mixed-age grouping aids social development by giving children an opportunity to learn from and teach each other.
